The goal is to help individuals with disabilities gain or keep employment in a job that will be a good match with their strengths, abilities and interests. Through the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation we want to help you find a job that has a good labor market demand and won't worsen your disability. While it can take a lot of time and effort to participate in our services to explore and discover the tight job match for you, we want to partner with you to help provide services that can help remove barriers to employment.
Our Role
We work with individuals to help identify barriers that are keeping them from working and develop a plan of services to remove those barriers along the way. There are many services we provide through the DVR Program, but each must be individually identified as something that is directly related to the achievement of the specific job goal of the customer. For example, we may provide help with assistive technology for disability conditions, as well as assist with the request of accommodations that may be needed on the job.
